TRACEY MICKLETHWAITE
Tracey Micklethwaite is a re-emerging multidisciplinary artist, based in East Yorkshire, England, whose work includes drawing, painting and sculpture. She originally studied Jewellery and Silversmithing at Loughborough College of Art and Design (BA Hons 1994-1997), she then studied for her Masters Degree at the The Royal College of Art (MA GSM&J 1997-1999), where her work transitioned from adornment to sculptural form.
In the following years Tracey became a lecturer in Art and Design, until becoming a Mother in 2011. As her three children grew she quietly worked on building her artistic practice alongside developing ‘Micklethwaite Studios’ with her husband Alan Micklethwaite. From their studios, they collaborate on public and private commissions, as well as making their own artwork, and teaching from the studios and other locations.
